Actually, the MS team offers a standalone chat app but is limited to Windows 11 OS and limited to personal accounts only. That said there's a workaround to create MS Team standalone chat app. Please follow these steps: 1. Please go to your computer then open your chrome or edge browser to access MS Teams online. 2. Please go to MS Teams online 3. Then try to log in. 4. Go to the chat tab on the left menu. 5. Please follow the instructions in the following video: you have installed it, please click allow then choose locations where you want to make the MS Team chat app shortcuts to be available.
