Microsoft vient de mettre en ligne la dernière version de son logiciel de synchronisation d'un ordinateur avec un équipement portable de type téléphone, Pocket PC... Cette version 4.1 succède à la version 4.0 livrée avec les derniers appareils utilisant Windows Mobile 5.0 et succède également à la version 3.8 sortie en début d'année (voir cette news).Cette nouvelle version 4.1 d'ActiveSync corrige les problèmes de connexion USB malheureusement apportés par la version 4.0. En effet, ActiveSync 4.0 rencontre des problèmes de fonctionnement sur les ordinateurs équipés de certains logiciels pare-feu ou de certains logiciels de gestion réseau. Pour résoudre ces problèmes de connexion USB et donc de synchronisation, Microsoft a publié un guide expliquant les paramètres à modifier. Cette nouvelle version 4.1 corrige donc à priori tout cela et améliorerait même les débits des transferts de fichiers entre l'ordinateur et l'appareil portable. Un nouvel assistant de synchronisation est également présent et il est désormais possible de synchroniser les photos assignées aux contacts du carnet d'adresses d'Outlook. Notons également que la fonction "Remote PC Sync" a été supprimée car elle posait visiblement des problèmes de sécurité qui n'ont pas été du goût de tout le monde.ActiveSync 4.1 est compatible avec les ordinateurs équipés de Windows 2000/2003/XP/2003-64/XP-64 ainsi qu'avec les appareils mobiles équipés de Windows Mobile 5.0, de Windows Mobile 2003, de Windows CE 3.0, de Pocket PC 2002 ou de Smartphone 2002. Pour le moment, seule la version Anglaise d'ActiveSync 4.1 est disponible.
